windThe Clean Technology Centre, along with EPS Consulting, Dublin and Envirocentre, Belfast have been commisioned by Forfas and InterTradeIreland to carry out the study: Assessment of Enterprise Opportunities in Environmental Goods and Services Industry.

The aim of the project is fourfold:

  1. To estimate the size of the EGS sector on the island of Ireland.
  2. To examine the drivers and strengths/weaknesses associated with the sub-sectors identified.
  3. To identify the EGS areas best disposed for growth opportunities in the future.
  4. To identify possible support mechanisms and legislative frameworks conducive to assist the growth of the EGS sector.

The project will commence in November 2007 and conclude in February 2008.
