wexford_opera_smallThe Clean Technology Centre and The Green Hospitality Programme is partnering with Wexford Festival Opera in taking the 2010 Festival Green.  The Opera House is aiming to achieve the Green Hospitality Award prior to the Festival in October and is asking all supporters of the Festival to join them in improving their environmental footprint with the intention of branding the Festival as a Green Festival. CTC is managing this project.

Businesses such as: Hotels, Restaurants, pubs, Guesthouses, B&B’s, Contract caterers, Tourist attractions, activities, Clubs, Golf Clubs, Leisure Centre’s and Spas are being encouraged to go green as part of the ‘Greening of Wexford Festival Opera’.

Green Hospitality Awardees display Energy, Water and Waste costs that are between 25-50% below the Irish average which allows them to compete in these challenging times – by adopting the criteria they are also opening up new markets by tapping into the increasing worldwide demand for more environmentally friendly businesses.  No business can afford to ignore the opportunities presented by going “Green” – reducing costs, increasing business and becoming legally compliant.”
