As part of the Skibbereen taking on Food Waste project, the Clean Technology Centre partnered with Sandra Flynn from Skibbereen Tidy Towns to create a seasonal recipe booklet with Abbeystrewry National School and St. Patrick’s Boys’ National School Skibbereen.

Classes were selected from both schools and each were assigned a different month of the year. They were then tasked with finding a recipe which included a food that was in season for that given month.

Once completed, the schools returned the recipes to us where 24 recipes were selected out of over 60 entries. This beautiful booklet made up of Young Chef Recipes was created.
A hard copy of the booklets were distributed to the schools on February 14th and a talk was given to the students on the topic of food waste and seasonal food.

You can find an online version of the recipe booklet here.
