An innovative EU e-learning project, led by CIT, has been selected by the EU Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture as a European 2020 “Success Story”. These success stories are completed EU research projects which have distinguished themselves through their impact, contribution to policy-making and innovative approach.
The project, entitled “Promoting Green Skills through Games”, was led by the Department of Technology Enhanced Learning at CIT along with the Clean Technology Centre and involved partners from Austria, Spain, Croatia and the UK. The project aimed to support the integration of sustainability education into schools using a game-based-learning approach. The core output for the project was a mobile learning game, now available on the Apple app store and Google play store, which students can use to learn about different areas of climate action and sustainability.
The selection of this project as a European exemplar of research reaffirms CIT as a standout contributor in this area, on par with the very best across the EU.
